FAINNE
On Wednesday 11th of April, we did our Fainne exam. Two examiners visited our school to listen to different Irish stories, which we had gathered from our Irish Folklore project. I told a story about a ship full of cement, other than that I couldn't really tell you what it entailed . The examiners munched away at a packet of chocolate chip cookies, while we told our stories, and they were enthralled at our knowledge, and delivery of the Irish language. Halfway through, there were some tantalizing musical performances from Alsun and Sarah Jane on the keyboard, Fiona on the accordion, and Stuart on the fiddle respectively. Fiona then sang us a lovely song, as Gaeilge. At the end of the exam, we all received a certificate stating that we're competent in speaking the Irish language, and our Fáinne badge that I've already lost. Hopefully this will help me for my Leaving Cert Irish Oral exam.
Big up Ms Conroy for all her hard work in preparing us, we couldn't have done it without you and we're eternally grateful.
